Claim360 named as Innovation Finalist in Industry Awards (Date - 27 June 2012)

16 August 2012, Sydney

Claim Central named on CIO 100 Award List Date - 1 June 2012 IDG's CIO magazine today named Claim Central as a recipient of the 2012 CIO 100.

The 25th annual award program recognises organisations around the world that exemplify the highest level of operational and strategic excellence in information technology (IT).

Claim Central was recognised for its claims management technology platform – a complete end-to-end claims management solution providing users with the insurance industry’s most powerful, comprehensive and transparent control over Cost, Claims and the Customer Experience. The platform streamlines each step in the claims process, allowing insurers to efficiently, and effectively, manage a claim end-to-end. As a result, claims lifecycles are reduced by up to 60% on industry standards, costs are reduced, work quality improved and customer service, increased. According to Brian Siemsen, CEO of Claim Central, the system was designed to allow an insurer greater control of all aspects of a claim. “The industry was using complicated, disparate workflow processes that limited the insurers’ ability to monitor and quality control repair jobs,” said Siemsen. “This made it impossible to deliver national consistency, particularly in a natural disaster.

“We needed a system that could work effectively with multiple insurance entities and efficiently manage the complexity of the insurance claim from receipt to completion,” he said. “We knew the only way to do this was to build an automated system that connects all stakeholders in the insurance claims process. Now, following a claim, we can be on the ground, rebuilding faster than ever before.” Maryfran Johnson, Editor in Chief of CIO magazine & events recognises for the value it brings to its clients.

"For 25 years now, the CIO 100 awards have honoured the innovative use of technology to deliver genuine business value," said Johnson. “Our 2012 winners are an outstanding example of the transformative power of IT to drive everything from revenue growth to competitive advantage." Siemsen has attributed the accolade to his innovative IT team.

“The CIO 100 award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of my CIO, Branden Van Zyl, and his team,” said Siemsen. “Branden spent more than three years building Claim Central technology, constantly refining it to ensure it met the changing needs of the insurers and policyholders.”

Executives from the winning companies will be officially recognised at the CIO 100 Symposium & Awards Ceremony, to be held Tuesday 21 August in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, USA.
